My journey with Yoga!

I recently joined "Lifestyle Management Class" at Traditional Yoga Studio. Before I first joined, my expectation was that this would be yet-another-yoga-class. But after joining, I realized that this is very different from the classes I've attended before.
First week, I learnt a lot in terms of physical body, mental body, what is health and what is necessary to keep me in good health.  I also understood the importance of meditation.
First week was tough in terms of managing my hunger and the schedule. First couple of days I was very hangry - hungry + angry. I did sleep for a couple of hours in the noon almost daily.
Initially I was very low on energy while doing the asanas but later it improved. I had food cravings but I powered through the week. I saw considerable change in my health problems by end of first week.

By second week, I felt much better. My hunger was low and I no longer had cravings. I was even ready to cook food even though I wasn't the one consuming it without any regrets. My energy level was high and I was surprised how I felt full of energy after only drinking water and exercises in the morning. By second week, I started practicing pranayama before meal and I started understanding the difference between real and fake hunger. I also lost a few pounds every day through these processes. I was starting to understand how my body reacts and the significance of each exercise and procedure. By now, I have started realizing that this is a way of life rather than just a class. Understanding the theory behind the practices helped me follow the practices with more interest.

By third week, I lost even more weight and the number of practices through the day increased. I realized how food started tasting divine! I felt increase in energy and also started seeing the glow on my face and body. My mental health also has improved along with my physical health. I am having more positive thoughts and concentrating on the right things.
